Race: 81.4 % Human. 18.6 % Someting else. 100% Irish!

Background: A magical experiment gone wrong when he was a baby. So cliché and he knows it. A process that meant to cure his haemophilia seemingly fused him with an entity called Source which responds, for the most part, to his thoughts.

It does try to strangle him occasionally though. . . which is worrying.
That's why he has such terrible sandbags under his eyes. Kind of hard to sleep when one fifth of you is trying to kill the rest.

Originally from an upper class family in the magic underground of Ireland, he ran away from home when the first day he found out his ability, when he accidentally killed a family member.
Finally finding a family of sorts with a community of alcoholic leprechauns, he grew up to be good-natured and accepting of all people, no matter their species or personality.
Magical authorities ordered him to join the academy as an alternative to parole, after being caught for grand theft sheep.

Facts:

Shapeshifts only in addition to his own body. Shapeshifting is not confined to his arms. Most of the Source Material is located in his left arm, though.
Known shapes: Shield, Lance, Full plate armour,

If the Source Material is sentient, it chooses to stay quiet.

The Source material is powered by eating organic matter, but Orion never kills people to obtain it. Ever.

Strengths: Close combat, Strong against elemental and disease and suchlike, due to his ability to manipulate his own organs to a certain degree.

Weaknesses: Area attacks, explosions, some of that weird sparkly shit that fairys and wizards do, alcohol.

Behaviour: He is, as most would describe him, a happy sheeple. Content to follow along and execute other people's plans.
He's not stupid, and he's not shy. He just chooses not to speak up, content in his own company. This is sometimes misconstrued by others as simply being rude, mainly due to the weird grin on his face and sarcastic sense of humour he possesses.

Likes: to play D&D at the weekends. He's always a halfling rogue!

Hates: Banana flavour ice cream.

Motivation: (excerpt from rp session: Orion: What gifts? *stares straight back* How about life? The ability to live an existance of luxury and privelidge. The ability to be above the masses of ants running back and forth with their daily lives, just so we can all get to death that much richer and think "maybe I dont have it so bad." Then on top of that we all have these astounding supernatural gifts. Gifts that we and only we can put to use for whatever purpose we wish. My gift can heal any injury i've ever sustained and change me in unimaginable ways. I am an architect of the human body. I can also heal the wounds and ease the suffering of those around me. This same gift killed many of my family. That's the gift I'm talking about. That's why it grinds me up when I see people like Luz using their status and privelidge to just piss all over everything below them.

Turns out the source goes a bit crazy in the moonlight, keeping Orion awake and sending spasms of pain for hours on end. He doesn't tell anyone, though because he believes this is his cross to bear. The alcohol helps with the pain.
He consumes the local monsters for materials to heal and experiment with new weapons, but in doing so causes him to become sickly and unstable for a few hours.
